My main beef with Gloomhaven is that it is a puzzle solving game with a dungeon crawler.

The scenario book is awesome. Really well made, and adds tons of replayability, the art and style is also amazing, unfortunately it's not in the standard version I got. Though a few of those scenarios really don't fit the game, I'm referring to those techy scenarios. Fix the ATV??? Look at those characters... Pirates, castaways and that kind of theme, and tech don't match. And maybe ok, some people might like the few silly scenarios, cooking competition??? What is this? A restaurant? That theme offers so many possibilities for really brilliant scenarios, hire some writers or something if you can't do it. And the app creep on many modern board games, please, keep your apps away from our hobby. Other than those minor complaints, yeah the book is awesome and so is the game.

I know this is nitpicky but if you scrape those points where you clipped the parts off the sprue with an xacto knife it will make the model look a lot nicer when you paint it

I Dont think Fremen can do any Shipping apppart from the Spacing guild Alliance power of cross shipping. They are all on the planet, they are not off planet to do normal shipping.

There is nothing wrong with 4th ed. People just like to complain. I think 4th ed is very flexible and robust to tweaking and changing and great to introduce people to D&D. I think it's great.

4e is okay as a boardgame or videogame but making every class identical and the strict limits on how you could use certain abilities (magical and nonmagical healing took up the same pool of hit die, certain utility effects that you could only use to block movement, etc) make it a terrible rpg because they dont make any sense as a story

This seems like a neat upgrade from the RE2 board game, that had a very poorly written, worded and paced rule book. Some of those photos of the player / reaction phase were a lot of help.

4rth edition almost killed D&D. The number of players nose-dived, people just stopped playing, or switched to Pathfinder or other TTRPG's. This is objective fact. 5e lead to a massive resurgence in D&D, and it's ease of use and new player friendly game play helped with that. Without 5e, D&D would be dead, and 4rth would have killed it. If you prefer 4e, then that's fine - but it's also subjective. Also, in 5e Warlord is represented by the Purple Dragon Knight (Banneret) fighter subclass. I mean, it's so poorly executed you need to seriously home brew some patches just to make it playable, but it's there.

Actually the problems with fighters and wizards started with the revisited 2 or 2,5 where they added 100 pages of spells and broke the game for good
